Community First! Canned Food Collection

Community First’s onsite market has had the same challenges purchasing food for Community First! residents that all are facing. They are in need of shelf-stable and canned food items. High protein and high calorie items are preferred (vienna sausages, canned tuna, canned chicken, beans, fruit cups, etc.). To help them overcome this shortage, we will begin collecting items on Monday, March 30. There will be an unmanned drop spot in the Windsor parking garage. Look for the wooden bin located close to the atrium entry doors. Place items for donation inside the bin.

For more information or for other ways you might help, please email Dean Lawrence or Jeff Mucci.

Drive a Senior

Drive a Senior – West has a free emergency food pantry for seniors operating out of a location in Tarrytown. This service is available to any senior living in their service area. A senior in need, MUST call the Drive a Senior office and register for temporary services at 512.472.6339. All 60+ seniors will qualify.

Drive a Senior is accepting food and paper-good donations. For a list of items and instructions on how to drop off donations click HERE.

If you are interested in being a delivery driver, please email the Drive a Senior-West office. Please do not call, as phone lines need to be kept open for seniors in need.

Mobile Loaves & Fishes

Our monthly food truck runs have been retooled to safely address the needs of the homeless in this time of crisis. If you are currently a volunteer scheduled to participate in April, Dean will contact you to explain the changes.

If you are not now a volunteer and looking for a way to address the needs of the homeless in our community, then this might be an opportunity for you. For more information, please email Dean Lawrence.

Trinity Center

As of now, the Trinity Streets is not holding its Sunday afternoon meal and worship. However, Trinity Center continues to provide a takeout breakfast and is the mailing address for over 1100 homeless.

For more information, please email Dean Lawrence.
