Music on The Hill featuring the UT Hispanic Caribbean Ensemble
Music on the Hill is a community engagement ministry of Good Shepherd on the Hill, with the goal of bringing people together around a love of world-class, live music. In October, the University of Texas Hispanic Caribbean Ensemble takes the Music on the Hill stage. The UT Hispanic Caribbean Ensemble is a group comprised primarily of students from the School of Music and across the UT campus. Some have close ties to Latin America, others have little firsthand knowledge of the languages and cultural forms associated with its many regions. All, however, have expressed a desire to learn more about Hispanic Caribbean music and culture. The Ensemble specializes in music of Brazil, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and coastal Colombia. Bring your dancin’ shoes, and get ready to take a trip south with the UT Hispanic Caribbean Ensemble!
