Parish Breakfast + Prayer Bell Making
Join us next Sunday as we gather during the usual formation hour to make Prayer Bells for our primary worship home. As our parish eagerly awaits the reopening of the renewed and expanded Church Building, we invite you to share your hopes for the future of our church by writing a prayer on a paper bell. These bells will be hung in the Church Building for the duration of the Christmas season. It is only with the continued prayers and support of our Beloved Community that Good Shepherd can Love More, Better.
From 9:15 until 10:15 Next Sunday we will open the PLC lobby for a special morning of fellowship. We’ll provide breakfast tacos, coffee, and hot cider; and every one of every age will be invited to make a prayer bell, writing their best hopes for our renewed and expanded worship space. Please feel free to stop by any time between 9:15 and 10:15. What will your prayer be? Will you pray for holy worship on Sunday mornings? Will you pray for the blessing of beautiful music? Will you pray for a space to find quiet and peace? Will you give thanks for bathrooms?
After the fellowship hour winds down about 10:15-10:20a, we will ask everyone to bring their prayer bells to worship, and, after church, to carry them to the Church Building, where they will hang and bless this last week of preparation. Then, on Christmas Eve, our prayer bells will decorate the Good Shepherd Christmas Tree, which we will have available that Holy Night for everyone to enjoy. Come one, come all!
