Mindful Photography: Seeing with the Eyes of the Heart
Through mindful photography, we consciously choose to see the sacred in our ordinary surroundings. Allowing ourselves to gently receive images while focusing on various elements in our world can be a profound and personal experience, opening up another way to connect with God. In this morning workshop, we explore how we can use our lens to connect more deeply with the sense of spirit in our world. After an overview, we will spend a portion of the morning “receiving images,” outdoors. Participants will learn the basic principles of Miksang (Tibetan for “good eye”) and receive materials for more exploration on their own. The session concludes with a Visio Divina, a visual meditation aligned with the monastic tradition of Lectio Divina.
