Touring Reformation History

Dear Friends,

2017 marks the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation and Perform International
has created a unique trip to celebrate this monumental occasion.

Your choral experience will include a Sunday evening worship service at the St. Thomas Church
in Leipzig where Bach was the Cantor until his death in 1750. We will also have the opportunity
to participate in a worship service in Berlin, sing informally at the Wartburg Castle and
Schlosskirche in Wittenberg and perform an evening concert in Prague.

There will also be ample time to visit all the important sites associated with the start of the Reformation
such as Luther’s birth and death house, the Castle Church in Wittenberg where he nailed his 95 Theses to
the door in 1517 and Wartburg Castle where Luther spent considerable time hiding out as he translated the
New testament from Greek to German. Furthermore, a music themed visit of Leipzig in the steps of Bach and
Mendelssohn is included.

I am confident that this will be a life-changing experience and hope that you will consider this unique
opportunity to travel together in Germany and the Czech Republic and enjoy the stunning performance spaces
we have been invited to sing in along the way.
