Welcome the Rev. Stanford Adams


We’re thrilled to welcome the Rev. Stanford Adams to the Good Shepherd family this summer! Throughout the coming months, we will provide several opportunities for parishioners to connect with Stanford. Please note that some of the events below do require an RSVP. Those particular events will be held in private homes, and therefore, space is limited.

As we wrap up the summer and prepare for new fall adventures, we invite parishioners of all ages to join us for a special time of fun and fellowship to connect with Stanford! We will enjoy bowling, snacks, and drinks together
while we welcome him to Good Shepherd and close out an amazing summer.

Woodland Campus
Stanford will serve at our Woodland Campus on the first Sunday in August. Following the worship service, there will be a small reception and opportunity for fellowship.

Join us for a special time of fellowship to connect with Stanford in a more intimate setting. We will enjoy drinks and light hors d’oeuvres together as we welcome Stanford to Good Shepherd.
Notes: The front door faces Pecos Street. Attire is casual, and parking is available on Bridle Path.

Past: Generations Luncheon

All parishioners age 50+ are invited to this summer’s Generations of Good Shepherd Lunch & Program, with Stanford as our guest speaker. This annual event is a beautiful way to connect with fellow parishioners and clergy. Please email Kathy Jolink to RSVP no later than Sunday, June 18.

Past: Choral Concert & Reception
Sunday, June 11 beginning at 5:00p
Windsor Campus – Church Building and PLC
The Good Shepherd Choir presents a concert of choral works which they will sing in Europe this summer. This 30-minute program will be followed by a festive Eucharist, during which we will pray over and commission our traveling choristers. Afterwards, join us for a reception with Stanford in the Parish Hall.

Sunday, June 11 after the 10:30a services
Windsor Campus – Large Playground
Each Sunday, we invite all families with young children to stick around after our 10:30a worship services for a time of play and fellowship. On this particular Sunday, however, we encourage parishioners of all ages to come together for this joyful fellowship opportunity with Stanford.

Past: Parish Picnic
Sunday, June 4 after the 10:30a services
(Windsor Campus – Lawn)
This year’s picnic will include music by our own Communion Café band, Holy Ghost Supreme; great food, courtesy of the Good Old Boys; Jim Jim’s shaved ice; and the first of many opportunities to connect with Stanford, who will preach as Senior Associate for the first time that morning.
Notes: Please bring a side dish or dessert to share, and wear red for Pentecost
