Pastoral Care

PRAYER LIST
Persons on the prayer list are mentioned in the prayers of the people each Sunday and are printed in the weekly bulletin insert. They are prayed for weekly by the Women’s Prayer Group.

IN TIMES OF ILLNESS
Please let the church office know if you or a loved one is ill! Those who are ill may receive Communion and visitation from clergy or our Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEVs). Flower arrangements from the altar flowers are delivered to families with new babies or those who are ill, caring notes may be sent, and frozen meals may also be delivered. Prayer Shawls are knitted, prayed over, and blessed. Then they are delivered to those who are in need of comfort.

PARISHIONERS IN THEIR HOMES
These persons can have visits, telephone calls or cards. In addition, weekly correspondence is offered through the church office. Members of the congregation are also available to drive these parishioners to the church for services. The Shepherd Singers is a small group of church members, available to help lift the spirits through song.

SERMON AND NEWS
To keep those parishioners in their homes up-to-date, weekly mailings are available upon request. Birthday cards and art from the Children’s Ministry may also be included.

GRIEF RECOVERY
A seasonal Advent group meets to share in one another’s burdens and celebrates a special memorial service together.

SPIRITUAL DIRECTION
Available through our clergy by calling the church office.

Note that most of these caring ministries are provided by parishioners! To help, please call the church office, 476 3523.
