The Rev. Morgan S. Allen

Morgan joined the Good Shepherd staff as Rector in 2009. In this role, he serves as the senior pastor and chief administrator of the parish and its several institutions. Born in Monroe, Louisiana and raised in Shreveport, Morgan has served seven congregations across Louisiana and Texas, in a twenty-two year career in Episcopal ministry.

Morgan graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Louisiana State University, with degrees in English and Philosophy, and a minor in Film, before receiving his Master’s from The Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest. Morgan and his wife, Missy, have a son, Michael; a daughter, Ginna; and a dog named Teddy. When time allows, he enjoys restoring 1968-1972 Buick Skylark and Gran Sport cars.
