The Rev. Trawin Malone
Trawin came to Good Shepherd on June 1, 2020. Trawin was the rector of Christ Episcopal Church in Cedar Park, TX. He served on diocesan staff, in congregations, and in parochial schools in the Dioceses of North Carolina, Atlanta, Louisiana and Dallas. Trawin earned a B.GS. (Psychology) from the University of Texas in Dallas; an M.Ed. (counseling) from the University of North Texas; an M.Div. from Seminary of the Southwest; and a D.Min. (Congregational Development) from Seabury-Western. His work in the Diocese of Texas includes being on the diocesan Wellness Committee, mentoring clergy, consulting, and facilitating Beginning Well (for new clergy in the diocese). Trawin serves as a faculty member (vocation) for CREDO—a program for clergy wellness sponsored by the Church Pension Group. Trawin loves music and the mountains. He and his wife, Melissa, have two grown daughters and five grandchildren—all perfect of course.
His role as interim Vicar of Good Shepherd on the Hill will be to continue the worship, mission, and ministry that is unique to the Hill; and to help to cast a vision for what is to come.
