2022 Children Youth Family

Our Children, Youth & Family ministry team offers Christian formation through a faith-enriching curriculum and community-building events. Our staff works collaboratively with parishioners to nurture faith journeys from preschool through high school graduation. We welcome all – whether long-tenured or brand-new to the parish – to join these programs. We send a weekly email with information on children, youth & family ministries. If you would like to subscribe, please contact the Rev. Brin Bon.

Worship

Children are welcome in any of our worship services on both campuses. Our Early Church service at 9:15a on the Windsor campus is designed with special attention to children ages eight years and younger. The service is shorter in duration and includes a brief sermon intended for children and adults.  Our 10:30a service at the Hill includes a children’s sermon, and children are invited to leave the service for formation activities after the children’s sermon.

Sunday Formation

Nursery

Sundays   |  9:45 – 11:45a

Both Campuses, Nursery

Nursery care is provided for our youngest members (under 3 years old) every Sunday during the 10:30a services on both campuses. In a warm and nurturing environment, we will assist you in beginning to build your child’s faith foundation from the ground up. Children can be picked up at any time. We look forward to greeting you and your children for nursery care!

Weekly Formation

Elementary – High School

Edge Meeting (3rd-5th Grades)

Wednesdays Through May 8   |  5:00p – 6:30p

Kids in 3rd-5th grades are encouraged to join us every Wednesday for fun, fellowship, and formation with their peers. Each week is an opportunity to play games, have a snack, explore their faith, and build relationships that help strengthen their connection with God, the church, and each other. Contact the Rev. Brin Bon with questions.

Windsor, Education Building

Older elementary-age children (3rd–5th grade) gather weekly in room 211 (second floor, Education Building) for Bible study lessons and activities. Our discussion focuses on reaching beyond ourselves, serving and connecting with each other and our neighbors. For more information, please contact the Rev. Brin Bon.

Youth Choir

Wednesdays Through May 8   |  6:00p – 6:30p

The Youth Choir fosters the musical growth of our youngest singers. This choir participates in several worship services throughout the program year and during holidays. The Youth Choir curriculum comes from the Royal School of Church Music, with which Good Shepherd is affiliated. New members are welcome at any time. No prior choir experience is necessary, just a love of singing. The Youth Choir will not meet during the summer. With questions, contact Christina Baird.
