Rise Against Hunger

Good Shepherd’s 2018 Advent theme, He has Filled the Hungry with Good Things, directed the parish in an exploration of hunger. Looking at hunger from various perspectives created an understanding of our relationship with food and how that relationship reflects our faith and becomes an issue of justice.
The season culminated with a Rise Against Hunger pack on Sunday, December 23. Both Good Shepherd campuses worked together to assemble nearly 45,000 meals to be distributed around the world to people with the greatest need.
Rise Against Hunger founder Ray Buchanan joined us on our Windsor Campus where he delivered his message of hope for ending hunger by 2030. Listen to the full message here.
