The Old Testament is the “operating system” for the New Testament. Without the calling of Israel\, the story of Jesus has no context. Without the Law and the Prophets\, the New Testament has no foundation in which to build the Church. DESCRIPTION:Join us to help Community First! Village set up new houses for our unhoused neighbors.\nVolunteers assemble furniture\, stock pantries\, hang pictures\, and clean and stock linens.\nWe also have an opportunity to tour the Village after our shift.\nGood Shepherd parishioners volunteer the 3rd Saturday of each month.\nWe need 12 volunteers total\, 6 for each house. Kids are encouraged to join in.\n\nClick HERE to sign up! \n\n\nWe meet at Community First! Village (9301 Hog Eye Rd Suite 950\, Austin\, TX 78724) at the Front Porch building across from the large parking lot on the first right turn after you come into the community and we will be guided to one of the new homes to clean and furnish for unhoused neighbors. \nCF!V is a 51-acre community that provides affordable\, permanent housing and a supportive community for people coming out of chronic homelessness.\n\nQuestions? DESCRIPTION:Our Sunday morning ministries to the children\, youth\, and families at Good Shepherd are only possible because of the dedication and care of faithful volunteers. Our teaching teams work together to lead Godly Play (3 years-2nd grade) and Edge Bible Study (3rd-5th grade) on a regular rotation serving once every 6 weeks. Current and new teachers are invited to join us for lunch and training in the Windsor\, media room from 11:30a–3:00p to prepare ourselves and our classrooms for the new program year. DESCRIPTION:Confirmation is for students in 9th grade and up who are ready to make a mature and public declaration of their faith. This entails a commitment to participation in the life of the church\, including regular attendance at worship\, service to the church\, a commitment to seeking justice and peace in the world\, and an overall interest in deepening their connection to God in Christ. Our Youth Confirmation Retreat will take place on Friday\, January 10 and Saturday\, January 11\, and our Confirmation service will take place in the Spring of 2025. \nThis information session is required to attend the confirmation retreat in January. Village set up new houses for our unhoused neighbors.\nVolunteers assemble furniture\, stock pantries\, hang pictures\, and clean and stock linens.\nWe also have an opportunity to tour the Village after our shift.\nGood Shepherd parishioners volunteer the 3rd Saturday of each month.\nWe need 12 volunteers total\, 6 for each house.
