All are welcome to attend.  \nThe group will begin reading With Head and With Heart: The Autobiography of Howard Thurman. Thurman was an American author\, minister\, philosopher\, civil rights leader\, and educator whose vitality and vision touched the lives of countless people of all races\, faiths\, and cultures. He mentored to several leaders of the Civil Rights movement including\, the Rev’d Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. \nWe regularly have a snack or light breakfast each week as we “chew” on our study.\nIf you would like to bring a snack\, breakfast item\, or lead our class\, please contact Will Jones.

Join with others as we build a community of support for one another. This is open to members of Good Shepherd as well as members of the larger community in need of this kind of support.\nThis group is open to any adult who parents without a partner and childcare is available if needed.\nCome and have dinner in the PLC beginning at 5:00p and then head upstairs to gather in support with other single parents.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Hill from 7:00p-9:00p on October 19 for a performance of traditional Pakistani folk music by Mujeeb Ruzik.\n\nMujeeb Ruzik performs traditional Hunza music on the rubab and the xingini\, traditional Pakistani instruments. This is a rare opportunity for the Austin community to hear this music.
