DESCRIPTION:One year ago\, floods tore through Kerrville and surrounding counties resulting in devastating loss of life. The Hill’s annual 4th of July event will begin with an acknowledgment of the continuing grief our community holds and the way grief and joy so often coexist in our mortal lives. It will continue with our traditional program\, including face painters\, popsicles\, live music\, and a view of downtown fireworks.

DESCRIPTION:Our second campus’ Sunday worship follows a slightly less-traditional Episcopal liturgy\, in a comfortable setting. Prayed in the The Book of Common Prayer’s Rite II\, and supported by the choral and musical leadership of a live\, acoustic band\, The Hill’s worship includes readings from scripture; a sermon; prayers; congregational singing; and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. \nThe Hill worship also includes a brief children’s sermon\, after which families may choose to allow their children to join appointed Youth for community-building time on the playground. Youth then lead participating children’s return to the sanctuary in time for Communion. \nNursery care available.

DESCRIPTION:In this interpreted Bible study\, deaf and hard-of-hearing participants are invited to bring their questions and experience to a guided conversation about the Bible. We will learn about the history\, stories\, theology\, and interpretation of Christianity’s Holy Scripture in an open and inclusive way. No preparation needed.
