SUMMARY:Conversations with Parents\, Youth & Children
DESCRIPTION:The Hill Country flooding and tragic loss of life has impacted so many families and children in our parish\, and we are planning times to help children and parents process these events. Tuesday\, June 8\, we will gather for a simple dinner at 6:00p in the Parish Life Center on the Windsor campus. From 6:30p to 7:30p\, we will offer three group conversations: a group for elementary age children (ages 8 to 12); a group for youth (ages 13-19); and a group for parents and caregivers. Childcare will be available for young children (ages 7 and younger). You’re welcome to join us for the groups\, even if you can’t be there for dinner. \nOur goal is to provide a theological framework and mental health tools for processing these difficult events. These groups will be facilitated by mental health professionals and clergy.

DESCRIPTION:Rising 9th grade–graduated seniors are invited to join the Good Shepherd High School Youth Group for a pilgrimage to our nation’s capitol Washington D.C\, July 10–14\, 2025. On the itinerary – touring monuments and museums\, serving our neighbors in DC\, and worshiping at the Washington National Cathedral. We will use our experiences in DC to reflect on what it means to be Christians who “strive for justice and peace among all people\, and respect the dignity of every human being” (The Book of Common Prayer\, Holy Baptism\, 305). Prayed in the The Book of Common Prayer’s Rite II\, and supported by the choral and musical leadership of a live\, acoustic band\, The Hill’s worship includes readings from scripture; a sermon; prayers; congregational singing; and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. \nThe Hill worship also includes a brief children’s sermon\, after which families may choose to allow their children to join appointed Youth for community-building time on the playground. SUMMARY:Community First! Village: Move-Ins
DESCRIPTION:Join us to help Community First! Village set up new houses for our unhoused neighbors.\nVolunteers assemble furniture\, stock pantries\, hang pictures\, and clean and stock linens.\nWe also have an opportunity to tour the Village after our shift.\nGood Shepherd parishioners volunteer the 3rd Saturday of each month.\nWe need 12 volunteers total\, 6 for each house. Village (9301 Hog Eye Rd Suite 950\, Austin\, TX 78724) at the Front Porch building across from the large parking lot on the first right turn after you come into the community and we will be guided to one of the new homes to clean and furnish for unhoused neighbors. \nCF!V is a 51-acre community that provides affordable\, permanent housing and a supportive community for people coming out of chronic homelessness.\n\nQuestions? DESCRIPTION:Our second campus’ Sunday worship follows a slightly less-traditional Episcopal liturgy\, in a comfortable setting. Prayed in the The Book of Common Prayer’s Rite II\, and supported by the choral and musical leadership of a live\, acoustic band\, The Hill’s worship includes readings from scripture; a sermon; prayers; congregational singing; and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. \nThe Hill worship also includes a brief children’s sermon\, after which families may choose to allow their children to join appointed Youth for community-building time on the playground. Youth then lead participating children’s return to the sanctuary in time for Communion. \nNursery care available.
