DESCRIPTION:This quiet\, reflective service takes time to pray specifically for those whose names appear on our prayer lists – those who suffer in any way\, our expectant mothers and newborn babies and their families\, those who have died\, and those serving in the armed forces. Village set up new houses for our unhoused neighbors.\nVolunteers assemble furniture\, stock pantries\, hang pictures\, and clean and stock linens.\nWe also have an opportunity to tour the Village after our shift.\nGood Shepherd parishioners volunteer the 3rd Saturday of each month.\nWe need 12 volunteers total\, 6 for each house. DESCRIPTION:Every year we make palm crosses by hand to be distributed and used during Palm Sunday services\, then burned next Mardi Gras\, with the ashes used for Ash Wednesday. The palm crosses help us remember the story of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. No experience is necessary to attend. All are welcome to help make palm crosses for our Palm Sunday services.
