Prayed in the The Book of Common Prayer’s Rite II\, and supported by the choral and musical leadership of a live\, acoustic band\, The Hill’s worship includes readings from scripture; a sermon; prayers; congregational singing; and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. \nThe Hill worship also includes a brief children’s sermon\, after which families may choose to allow their children to join appointed Youth for community-building time on the playground. Youth then lead participating children’s return to the sanctuary in time for Communion. \nNursery care available.

DESCRIPTION:This quiet\, reflective service takes time to pray specifically for those whose names appear on our prayer lists – those who suffer in any way\, our expectant mothers and newborn babies and their families\, those who have died\, and those serving in the armed forces. Anointing of the sick is offered to those who so desire\, and the liturgy concludes with Holy Communion. \nWednesdays at 5:30p in the chapel on the Windsor campus.

DESCRIPTION:The Good Shepherd Evensong Choir is a smaller ensemble drawn from the adult choir.\nThis ensemble sings at Evensong on the second Sunday of every month during the program year. DESCRIPTION:The Good Shepherd Adult Choir leads worship at our 10:30a Sunday services in the church building and at special liturgies throughout the year.  \nWe draw on the very best of ancient\, modern and world music\, including works by local Austin composers.\nIf you can sing well\, are willing to work hard\, and can commit to a rehearsal schedule\, we welcome your participation.  \nRehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings from 7:30p – 9:00p.\nNo audition is needed\, and you are welcome to sit in on a rehearsal any time if you’d like to try it out. \n With question\, please contact Chris Oelkers.

SUMMARY:Education for Ministry (EfM)
DESCRIPTION:Do you want to learn more about the Bible\, Christian tradition and Church History\, while nurturing your faith? If so\, consider joining Good Shepherd’s Education for Ministry group.\nGood Shepherd’s Education for Ministry group (EfM) is a Christian formation program founded and administered through the University of the South at Sewanee. Through study\, prayer\, worship and reflection\, EfM groups journey together through the Hebrew Bible; The New Testament; Church history and Christian ethics and spirituality. Good Shepherd’s mentored group weaves those studies into theological conversations formed by participants’ experience of the world. \nThis year marks the 50th anniversary of EfM and with it comes an entirely new curriculum. The curriculum now has two tracks\, both of which are thought provoking and designed for us to understand our relationship with God and to uncover our gifts in God’s creation. The first track is the classic four-year course\, which mirrors the core study areas of a seminary education. The second track is new this year: EfM: Wide Angle. This track is a one-year course that offers an authentic EfM seminar experience while including videos\, podcasts\, blogs\, and a more limited amount of reading than the first track.\nThe 2025-2026 class is forming now and the commitment for both tracks is one year. \nFor more information\, please contact mentors Bill Davies or Mary Ann Frishman.
