DESCRIPTION:On the night before Jesus died\, he and his disciples gathered for dinner\, prayer\, and foot washing. This event is the origin of the church’s practice of Communion. We believe that Jesus Christ is present in the gifts of bread and wine\, and that this meal nourishes us\, both in the body and the soul. On Maundy Thursday\, we will gather in the Parish Hall for a potluck meal and service of Communion. SUMMARY:Men’s Bible Study
DESCRIPTION:The Men’s Bible Study invites all men of the parish to join them on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00p as they study the Bible together. Participants can bring any Bible translation they like. They also read commentaries and the the Book of Common Prayer to enhance their understanding of the Bible\, aiming for a balance between a close reading and discussion of the impact of scripture on our lives and our world.\n\nWe invite all the men in the parish to join us!\nWith questions\, please contact Frank Pool

SUMMARY:Holy Eucharist with an Acoustic Band: The Hill
DESCRIPTION:Our second campus’ Sunday worship follows a slightly less-traditional Episcopal liturgy\, in a comfortable setting. Prayed in the The Book of Common Prayer’s Rite II\, and supported by the choral and musical leadership of a live\, acoustic band\, The Hill’s worship includes readings from scripture; a sermon; prayers; congregational singing; and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. \nThe Hill worship also includes a brief children’s sermon\, after which families may choose to allow their children to join appointed Youth for community-building time on the playground. Youth then lead participating children’s return to the sanctuary in time for Communion. \nNursery care available.
