Formation Offerings

NURSERY
Ages 3 months - 4 years
Our nursery is open to our youngest parishioners during our primary Sunday worship services and during most intergenerational events.

Nursery Vaccine Policy: We do all we can to protect all members of this unique and diverse community, beginning with the youngest and most vulnerable among us. With that in mind, the Good Shepherd Campus Safety Committee has implemented a policy in response to the recent outbreak of measles throughout the country and within the state of Texas. Effective immediately, the policy requires parents of unvaccinated children from 12 to 24 months to refrain from using the nursery.

GODLY PLAY - SUNDAYS AT WINDSOR
Ages 3 - 5th grade
Godly Play nurtures preschoolers’ wonder and joy in a warm, inviting, and fun atmosphere, while their families attend worship. This curriculum encourages children to explore their faith through story and self-directed response in their own, unique ways. Children are greeted at the door and once ready, join their community in the circle. All children are dropped off in Allen Hall and picked up by their parents at the Peace in their classrooms.

STAY AND PLAY
Everyone
All families with young children are encouraged to stick around after our 10:30a worship services on Sunday. Take this opportunity to use our wonderful playground and meet some new friends!

CHILDREN'S FORMATION - WEDNESDAYS ON WINDSOR
Ages 3 - 5th grade
Our preschool and elementary children will gather weekly to walk in the Way of Love together. Our multi-aged community will focus on engaging their interests, connecting Jesus' teachings to their everyday lives and building relationships.

CHILDREN'S CHAPEL AT THE HILL
Ages 5 - 11
On our Woodland Campus, children are invited (but not required) to depart following the children’s sermon during worship for Christian formation activities and then return in time to receive communion.

INTERGENERATIONAL CHILDREN'S FORMATION AT THE HILL
Everyone
A special activity designed with children in mind, but inclusive of the whole congregation is offered. Examples include Palm Sunday journey to the Cross, Feast of St. Francis celebration, advent wreath making, and All Saints celebration.
