Holy Week + Easter Schedule

PALM SUNDAY
Sunday, March 24   |   both campuses
Each of this day’s ceremonies begins with the blessing of palms, recalling Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, and continues with an account of Jesus’ last days, concluding with Holy Communion.
• Windsor services: 8:00a, 9:15a Early Church,10:30a*(Nave-livestreamed and PLC), 6:00p 
• The Hill service:  10:30a*
* the nursery will be open during the 10:30a/Windsor and 10:30a/Hill services.

MAUNDY THURSDAY
Thursday, March 28   |   Windsor

• 6:15p – Early Church service, PLC
This interactive service, designed especially for children and their families, will recount the events of the Last Supper where Jesus celebrated the first Holy Eucharist and washed the feet of his disciples. Using simple language and active participation, this service is perfect for all ages of worshipers.
• 7:00p service, Nave (livestreamed)
This night recalls Jesus’ Last Supper, when he gave the gift of the Eucharist and washed the feet of his disciples before withdrawing to pray in the garden of Gethsemane. This begins the three days of Jesus’ passion, death and resurrection, the Triduum. After the service, the overnight Gethsemane watch begins.

GETHSEMANE WATCH
Thursday, March 28–Friday, March 29
9:00p–11:00a   |   Windsor

After our services on Maundy Thursday, we invite you to pray for an hour with Christ. The Gethsemane Watch begins at 9:00p on Thursday, March 28 and ends at 11:00a on Friday, March 29 on the Windsor campus. Spending an hour in prayer is a meaningful way to begin the holiest days of our Christian year. To sign up for a one-hour period, click HERE.

GOOD FRIDAY
Friday, March 29   |   Windsor
• 12:00p – Good Friday Service, Nave (livestreamed)
Recounting the suffering and death of Jesus, the Good Friday liturgy invites us to bring to the Cross in prayer our own deep needs and those of the world. Holy Communion is distributed.
• 3:00p – Early Church Stations of the Cross, PLC
This service is designed especially for families and children who are looking for an age-appropriate way to talk about Jesus’s death. Walking the “Way of the Cross,” this interactive experience will be part worship and part workshop rotation as children follow the events that led from Jesus’s Last Supper to his death on the cross.
• 7:00p – Burial service, Nave
Honoring the death of Jesus and the grief of those who loved him, this evening’s ceremony accompanies Jesus in song and prayer from the Cross to the tomb. 

HOLY SATURDAY
Saturday, March 30   |   9:00a
Windsor, chapel
   
Holy Saturday is a service that recalls the day when the crucified Christ visited among the dead while his body lay in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea.

THE GREAT VIGIL OF EASTER
Saturday, March 30   |   7:00p (livestreamed) Windsor, Nave
Beginning outside with fire and candlelight, the Great Vigil continues in the church with accounts of the saving events of history, culminating in the proclamation of Jesus’ Resurrection and the first Eucharist of Easter. 

EASTER DAY
Sunday, March 31   |   both campuses 
Continuing in daylight what began in darkness the night before, each of this morning’s Eucharists celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection in speech and song. Nursery care is available at Windsor from 8:30a–12:30p and at the Hill from 10:00a–12:00p.

THE FLOWERING OF THE CROSS
Sunday, March 31   |   Windsor 
When you attend an Easter Day service at Windsor, stop by the cross outside of the church to add flowers. Bring your own flowers from home or use those provided. The cross will become a visual symbol of new life.
