COMMUNION CAFÉ:
HOLY EUCHARIST WITH
AN ACOUSTIC BAND

Windsor, Parish Life Center
Service details

Our second, primary service of mid-morning worship, Communion Café blends traditional, Episcopal worship and a relaxed, inclusive setting. Supported by the choral and musical leadership of a live, acoustic band, Communion Café includes readings from scripture; a sermon; prayers; congregational singing; and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

Sunday   |    10:30a
HOLY EUCHARIST WITH
AN ACOUSTIC BAND

Woodland, Sanctuary
Service details

Our second campus’ Sunday worship follows a slightly less-traditional Episcopal liturgy, in a comfortable setting. Prayed in the The Book of Common Prayer’s Rite II, and supported by the choral and musical leadership of a live, acoustic band, The Hill’s worship includes readings from scripture; a sermon; prayers; congregational singing; and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

The Woodland campus worship also includes a brief children’s sermon, after which families may choose to allow their children to join appointed Youth for community-building time on the playground. Youth then lead participating children’s return to the sanctuary in time for Communion.

Sunday   |    6:00p
HOLY EUCHARIST WITH ORGAN
Windsor, Sanctuary
Service details

Our evening worship offers a more meditative, intimate atmosphere, acknowledging with prayer and setting the close of day. The 6:00p includes readings from scripture; a sermon; prayers; congregational hymns led by organ; and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

Choral Evensong   |    6:00p
HOLY EUCHARIST WITH
SPECIAL MUSIC

Windsor, Sanctuary
Service details

On the second Sunday of Program Year months (Labor Day through Memorial Day), the Good Shepherd Choir leads Choral Evensong for our 6:00p service. Evensong, a music-rich setting of Evening Prayer, is among our most traditionally Anglican liturgies, witnessing the Church’s ancient devotion of praying each day’s hours. At Good Shepherd, this service comprises choral anthems, plainsong chant, congregational hymnody, scripture readings, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

Service details

This quiet, reflective service takes time to pray specifically for those whose names appear on our prayer lists - those who suffer in any way, our expectant mothers and newborn babies and their families, those who have died, and those serving in the armed forces. Anointing of the Sick is offered to those who so desire, and the liturgy concludes with Holy Communion.
