There’s so much that we are excited about right now for the parish. Our attendance at worship on Sundays is the highest that it has ever been, and our congregation continues to grow. We have added more than 300 new members in each of the last two years, and we are on track to exceed that number of newcomers this year. Our average age is a full generation younger than a typical mainline congregation in the U.S.
These statistics point to something deeper: people whose lives are better because they are part of a parish community where they are known and loved; people whose lives are more fulfilled because they experience the comfort and the challenge of following God’s call; and people outside of the parish whose lives are better because of your generous outreach. This is Jesus’ love in action through you. Together we seek to have lives and a parish community rooted in this love.
All of this depends on your generosity. We ask you to make your pledge now for 2027. Your pledge by October 20, 2026 allows us to plan our budget for 2027.
Over the last three years, our average Sunday attendance has grown by more than 59%. Good Shepherd is the 15th largest Episcopal church in the country, and one of the fastest growing Episcopal churches! Financial pledges have not kept pace with the rise in attendance — only increasing by 31%. We need your help to bridge this gap.
