Whether you are new to Christianity, new to the Episcopal Church, or simply new to Good Shepherd, we are so glad you’re here. We believe that faith is a journey—and we are committed to walking with you from joining to belonging. Our hope is that everyone who enters this community would be fully known and fully loved. We’d love to meet you and help you feel at home. With questions please contact the Rev. Paige Alvarez Hanks, Senior Associate Rector, or Stephanie Jastrow, Community Ministry Group Leader.

Feeding the Flock is a ministry of the men of Good Shepherd who love to grill and serve others with good food and warm hospitality. This team prepares meals for parish events—and has a great time doing it! Along the way, volunteers build community, share laughter, and feed the body and soul of Good Shepherd. Interested in joining the grill crew? Contact Will Holford for more information.
The Flower Guild breaks down Sunday’s altar flowers and curates them into several small arrangements to be delivered to parishioners by Love on the Run volunteers. For more information, please contact Taylor Bowles.
When a funeral is held at Good Shepherd, the Funeral Guild provides support for the service and those in attendance. Guild members prepare the church for the service, direct guests to the service as they arrive on the church campus, serve as ushers and greeters, and clean up after the service. This ministry is vital to the support of our grieving families and to the clergy team, helping to make our funerals a place of welcome and respite for all who are grieving the loss of their loved ones. For more information, please contact Susie Piaget.
All parishioners are invited to take part in Generations— a ministry of intergenerational connection and community. Come be part of the fun and fellowship! For more information, please contact Kathy Jolink.

For all who have experienced seasons of grief and are in need of support that focuses on where God is in the midst of your struggles, group work can be a way to come together and share our feelings in a trusting environment. These groups are organized as needed throughout the year. If you find yourself experiencing a life event and traveling a grief journey, you may wish to embark on the journey with a group that can offer special care and support. Members of the group agree to maintain confidentiality. For more information, please contact the Rev. Paige Alvarez Hanks.
Lay Eucharistic Visitors bring communion and prayers from the church altar to homebound members of our Good Shepherd family. At the conclusion of the communion portion of the service, Lay Eucharistic Visitors are sent by the parish to bring the gifts of the Eucharist to those they are scheduled to visit. They offer a pastoral presence to those who cannot come to church and who desire to keep connected to their church family. New Lay Eucharistic Visitors receive training and visit parishioners in pairs, following the Safe Church guidelines. For more information, please contact the Rev. Paige Alvarez Hanks.
