Love Your Neighbor 5K at Community First! Village

As part of Good Shepherd’s ongoing partnership with Community First! Village, we are invited to come alongside our neighbors for the annual Love Your Neighbor 5K on Saturday, September 19. This joyful morning brings together residents, runners, volunteers, and friends from across Austin to celebrate the community and belonging at the heart of Community First! Village.

In place of our regular Saturday furniture prep volunteer opportunity, Good Shepherd volunteers will help welcome participants and support the many activities that make the 5K possible. Our shift will be 6:30a–10:00a. Whether greeting participants, cheering along the course, passing out water, or helping behind the scenes, this is a wonderful opportunity to put our call to love and serve our neighbors into practice—and to do so together as a church community.
