Wolf van Elfmand is back on the grid, having released his forthcoming honky tonk flavored album, Don’t Call It Country, on March 1, 2024. Inspired by the tongue-in-cheek stylings of writers like Roger Miller, Don’t Call It Country takes listeners on a satirical stroll through Wolf’s mind. Its robust, live sound consists of honest vocals, twangy guitars, and lyrical hooks that stay with you well beyond your first listen. There are classic components akin to Nashville’s golden era of recording, but Wolf’s modern approach powerfully situates them in our present time.
