The Message of the Prophets
At crucial times in the history of Judaism and the nation of Israel, GOD sent prophets ( literally, “mouthpieces “) to give the people a new vision. “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, l am doing a new thing!Now, it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:18,19)
The message of these prophets is vital to our understanding of the Old Testament, and the context of the ministry of Jesus Christ. We will look at both the prophets of the exile and those of the post-exilic period (upon the return of the Jews to their home). Each class will “stand by itself”, so join us when you are in town.
