The Holy Spirit in the Church and the World

May 25 @ 9:15 am - 10:10 am

From the beginning of time, the Spirit of God has been present and active in the world (Genesis 1:2). In the New Testament, the primary attention upon the presence and power of the Holy Spirit is in the life of Jesus and then through him in the lives of all his followers. The Book of Acts, which we read on Sundays in the season of Easter, gives accounts of how the Spirit empowers the early Church. Primarily, the Spirit acts in three ways: evangelism, preaching and teaching the word of God, and the healing ministry. We will look at texts from Acts in these three ways the Holy Spirit has directed the mission of the church, and save time at the end of class to share our own experiences of the Holy Spirit.

Everyone is welcome! With questions please contact Amy Wanamaker.
