The infancy narrative tradition is contained in the first two chapters of Luke’s and Matthew’s gospels. It includes biblical genealogies, annunciation stories, a virginal conception, even a star guiding the Kings. These unique and vivid narratives give purpose and place in our Christian faith. They remain fascinating subjects for artists, poets and storytellers. More than a storyline, these narratives are a divine revelation of what our Savior’s birth means to humanity and to history.
