Event Series: SEED Seminars

SEED Seminars

December 10 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

This year we will be offering a new opportunity for parishioners at Good Shepherd to participate in a national program called SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity).

The National SEED Project is a peer-led program that creates conversational communities to drive personal, organizational, and societal change toward greater equity and diversity. SEED seminars are facilitated by a SEED leader who leads participants in experiential activities, and conversations often stimulated by films, readings, and hands-on activities. Through personal reflection and listening to others’ voices and stories, SEED equips us to connect our lives to one another and to society by acknowledging systems of power, and privilege—and challenges us to push for change. Topics include social class, race, gender, and ethnicity.

No prerequisite is required although SEED would be a good follow up experience if you have participated in Sacred Ground programming.
SEED seminars will meet the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30p-8:00p.
