Kathy began worshipping as a parishioner at Good Shepherd 30 years ago, and joined the staff in the fall of 2008. As the Coordinator of Pastoral Care and Senior Ministry & the Wedding Administrator, she helps parishioners at all stages in life – from engaged couples and new parents, to the surviving families of our beloved, deceased parishioners, and everyone in between. Born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, Kathy grew up on the southernmost border with Mexico and near the beach. College brought Kathy to Austin, where she earned a Plan II Liberal Arts degree from the University of Texas, and the beauty and friendliness of this city have kept her here. Kathy has five grown children: three here in Austin, one in Chapel Hill, NC, and one in Houston; plus three wonderful grandchildren. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family and friends, walking in her neighborhood, tap dancing, and yoga.
