In our second installment of the Dying Well series, you are invited to learn more about the theology and practice of funeral services through the lens of the Episcopal Church and particularly Good Shepherd. We will have short presentations from our clergy about the reason we have funerals, what we are trying to accomplish with funerals, and what our liturgy teaches us about death and dying. We will also have representatives for you to speak with regarding our Columbarium, the ways that our parishioners choose to include Good Shepherd through their estate’s planned giving, and the nuts and bolts of planning for what to do with your body upon your death. Our clergy will also be available to walk you through our funeral planning worksheet found on our parish website and hard copies of the worksheet will be available for you to take home and work through on your own.
Snacks and drinks will be provided and nursery care is available if you need it.
