Our second, primary service of mid-morning worship, Communion Café blends traditional, Episcopal worship and a relaxed, inclusive setting. Supported by the choral and musical leadership of a live, acoustic band, Communion Café includes readings from scripture; a sermon; prayers; congregational singing; and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. All are invited to gather, chat, and check in with one another over coffee (or tea) and donuts immediately after the 10:30 service.
Acolytes serve a valuable role in our Sunday worship—carrying the cross and torches as well as assisting at the altar during Communion. We pray our early morning celebration of the Holy Eucharist using The Book of Common Prayer’s Rite II. The 8:00a service includes a sermon and Holy Communion. This service does not include music, so there is ample opportunity for silence.
